The Round Oak Iron and Steel Works was one of the Black Country’s most important industrial sites, dominating Brierley Hill from 1857 for over a century. This carved wooden map captures the historic layout of the furnaces, railways, canals, and mills that powered Britain’s industrial expansion. A detailed heritage artwork for historians, engineers, and lovers of industrial history.
The map is carved into high-quality beech plywood, selected for its stability and clean cutting characteristics. Once carved, the surface is sealed and varnished to enhance contrast and durability, before being mounted and framed in a solid wooden frame, ready for display.
Custom maps can be created from an address, street name, neighbourhood, or clearly described area. Location details can be provided after checkout if preferred, making the process simple while allowing flexibility for gifts or commissions.
